Forged out of a history spanning 400 years, the East India Company has relaunched its brand with an exclusive range of speciality products and Offset is proud to be appointed their carton packaging partner.
"It is a privilege to be associated with such a prestigious and historical company and to be part of their enterprising new flagship store in Conduit Street, London W1," noted Frank Wallis, Managing Director of Offset Packaging.
Since its creation in 1600 by The Royal Charter, granted by Queen Elizabeth I, the influence of The East India Company changed the world and how it traded. At one point it had the largest merchant navy in the world and controlled 50% of world trade.
OP has been entrusted with producing the attractively designed packaging for the East India Company's tea, coffee and chocolate products.
"Offset Packaging are truly professional and we are delighted with the end result," said Manan Bhansali, Operations Director, The East India Company Fine Foods Limited.
Selling world-wide, East India wanted a special new box construction that would effectively be a flip top carton holding 10 envelopes of tea.

The Offset team designed a unique crash-locked format with a flip top enabling the carton to be opened and closed for after use with a locking device.
The packs are printed in seven colours (hexachrome plus gold) then matt gloss emulsion varnished and gold blocked with the East India company logo. All the packaging is produced with FSC board from a managed environmentally-caring source.
While the 10-packs are hand packed, the 20s (although the same material) are machine packed on an Italian IMA machine - taking blank cartons, filling the envelope with the tea and placing them in the individual boxes.
The tea is kept perfectly fresh through cellophane wrapping and a security tear strip.
