We are pleased to announce that one of London's leading bespoke chocolate manufacturers has entrusted it's prestige packaging to Offset Packaging.
For over 100 years the luxury Prestat's Chocolates and Truffles have been enjoyed by royalty, stars of the stage and screen, chocolate-loving families and children around the world.
With a flagship boutique in the heart of London's St James' this Royal warrant holder chocolatier has very high standards.
Bill Keeling, Managing Director of Prestat, and his half-brother Nick Crean who are passionate about their company and their chocolate chose Offset Packaging to produce new packaging presentations for their ranges of chocolates.
Frank Wallis, Offset's MD discusses the ballotin box design with Prestat's Nick Crean and Bill Keeling.
The brief was for a generic pack across three sizes which would be suitable for use in their shops and other retail outlets around the world. The pack had to be attractive but strong and Offset's design team came up with a range of ideas from which the ballotin style carton was chosen.
The elegant and witty graphic designs on all the packaging ranges were created by Bill's artist friend Kitty Arden who has rebranded and re-energised Prestat's image with her spectacular flair for colour and design.
Offset chose one of the Korsnas range of virgin fibre boards which answered the brief for a premium quality packaging material. The purity and organoleptic properties of this material guarantee that the board would not give any taint or odour problems to the Prestat chocolates and truffles.
The cartons were produced on a KBA 7 colour printing press with inline Anilox coating unit. Special food grade inks and Polymeric varnish were used for direct food contact
Printed in three matching colourways the cartons were embellished with gold foil blocking on all panels to enhance the graphics and provide a strong appearance of quality at point of sale.
